Axis Security, a leading provider of bespoke security services, has achieved the highest SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) score in its history, increasing by 2 points to reach an outstanding 173 out of a possible maximum of 174.
The near-perfect score is attributed to Axis Security’s continued investment in employee training and career development, its approach to officer recruitment, innovative use of technology to improve communication and Security Officer efficiency, and commitment to corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Putting these results in context, in 2009, when the senior management team re-launched the Axis Security business, it had an ACS score of just 46. Today’s near-maximum 173 point score places Axis Security securely within the top 5% of approved contractors, and it believes the top 1% in the country.
David Mundell, Managing Director of Axis Security, says the ACS scheme is about furthering the professionalism of the industry: “There are 89 criteria designed to question the norm and raise standards, helping us to deliver safer and more secure environments.
“Our success in this audit is a result of a year-long commitment, involving evidence gathering, visits to our offices and sites, and in-depth interviews with personnel,” David adds. “My sincere thanks go to all those who contributed to this fantastic result.”
Axis Security has also achieved the new ISO 9001 standard, which is not yet mandatory, demonstrating the company’s commitment to compliance and achieving industry-leading standards.
